Juwayriyya Wajdy has been working in the cookery field since 1980. She has formulated several new recipes and dishes, often giving them her own names.
She has over 60 publications to her credit, all written by herself. Juwariyya has up to date, presented 5800 recipes in Dhivehi, through her books. Over 6000 recipes are her own creations.
With her numerous contributions to field of cookery, arts and crafts and towards the empowerment of women, she has garnered national and international awards, including the prestigious Maldivian National Award of Honour and Special Achievement in the field of cookery in 2003.
Juway has also appeared in several television and radio programs, and writes recipes for magazines including in-flight magazines, several newspapers and magazines in the Maldives. Juway does most of her writing to magazines and TV programs.
